Reconciliation is often spoken about, but what does it actually look like? This thought-provoking workshop invites you to move beyond surface-level actions to explore the heart of reconciliation in a meaningful, actionable way.

By learning the historical context and understanding why reconciliation matters today, you will gain practical insights for developing authentic relationships with Indigenous peoples and communities. This workshop encourages open dialogue, self-reflection, and connection – essential steps for anyone seeking to contribute to reconciliation in their workplace and beyond.

Whether you’re just beginning or deepening your journey, this workshop offers your team the tools and perspectives needed to help turn good intentions into meaningful action.

*As part of CTRI and ACHIEVE’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation, a percentage of all public workshop profits from Reconciliation in the Workplace are donated to organizations supporting Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG).

Facilitator: Heather Woodward

MSW-IK, RSW

Heather holds a Master of Social Work degree based in Indigenous Knowledges and is a Registered Social Worker with nearly 25 years of experience in the helping field. She has spent much of her time working directly with children, youth, and families. In the first half of her career, Heather’s passion was working with youth of all genders (ages 11-24) that have been impacted by violence, sometimes with gang involvements, all forms of trauma (mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual), addictions, mental health, and with individuals living with a FASD. More recently, she has pivoted her focus, and her passion has become wholistic wellness for helping professionals. She believes that even in the thick of trauma and/or crisis, people can use relationships and laughter to work through these critical moments. Heather values the lives and stories of everyone she has the honour of meeting and walking with on their life path. She is an energetic and engaging facilitator who strives to find ways to build connections and relationships with everyone. Read blogs written by Heather here.
