For those who work with youth, managing challenging behaviours that interfere with development, learning, or success can be both frustrating and exhausting. This workshop explores behaviours related to aggression, resistance, and connection-seeking, along with practical intervention strategies you can use in your own work with youth.

You will have the opportunity to analyze your current approach to challenging behaviours, so you can gain insight into what is happening when attempts at intervention do not work. A framework will be provided with guidelines for structuring interactions for positive outcomes using a leadership, guidance, and mentorship model.  This workshop will involve interactive opportunities for practicing the skills learned, so you can confidently apply them in your context.

Please note: This workshop does not provide training for clinical therapy or review clinical conditions that may lead to challenging behaviours.
