Learning how to support your clients who are struggling with anger is crucial. This workshop will give you a comprehensive understanding of the different types of anger, as you explore the anger cycle and learn practical strategies and interventions to help your clients manage and reduce their anger, as well as the behaviours that are driven by it.

By the end of this workshop, you'll be able to recognize various forms of anger, effectively assess it, and identify when someone is in their anger cycle. You'll also gain valuable skills to enhance safety in a variety of situations and environments.

Facilitator: Janelle Jackiw

MA, MEd, CCC

Janelle holds a Master's Degrees in both Criminology and Educational Psychology, and she is a Certified Clinical Counsellor (CCC). Her background and practice is in the area of counselling, with specific interest in the area of mental health and wellness, stress management, suicide/self-injury, and trauma. Janelle believes that people create important change in their lives when they have meaningful connections to others and have a sense of passion and purpose for their life. In addition to training with CTRI, she carries a client caseload part-time, works for the Ministry of Justice, and is a sessional lecturer at the University of Regina.
