Shruti is a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma-informed care and global mental health. Having grown up navigating contrasting worlds of hardship and privilege in India before immigrating to the United States as a teenager, she brings both professional expertise and deep personal insight to her work with marginalized communities. With over a decade of experience, Shruti has trained and mentored service providers across national and international programs, including equipping frontline workers with culturally responsive, trauma-informed approaches. She has also delivered direct clinical care to asylum seekers, torture survivors, newcomers, and other marginalized communities across multiple organizations.

Currently, Shruti serves as a Clinical Advisor of Mental Health at an international non-profit headquartered in the U.S. She believes that healing becomes most possible when care is grounded in cultural humility, experiential understanding, and a genuine commitment to honouring human dignity.
