Trainers and Consultants

Jodie is a Registered Social Worker with 10 years of clinical experience supporting clients, as well as lived experience with addictions and mental health. She holds a Master of Social Work, is a Certified Play Therapist Supervisor, Certified EMDR Therapist, and Certified Complex Trauma Professional. Jodie has experience with specialized EMDR applications, including working with children, first responders, and treating OCD. She has also completed advanced training in Theraplay®, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

In addition to her clinical work, Jodie regularly teaches for organizations and agencies. She also provides clinical supervision for play therapy students, MSW students, and psychotherapists. She has extensive experience utilizing and teaching practitioners and mental health professionals how to integrate art, clay, puppets, music, and other mediums into their treatment approaches. Jodie’s teaching style incorporates a belief that real change, learning, and healing happens through relationships. As a facilitator, she aims to create a relaxed space where individuals can get to know one another and share stories and experiences that bring to life the concepts and interventions being taught.
