Tamsyn has worked in social service, health care, and education settings, with child protection and welfare, palliative care, pediatric oncology, and both public and private schools. For five
years, she was the Director of Clinical Services at Chisholm Services for Children in Halifax, where she led a team in trauma-informed care for children and families. Tamsyn also has
experience working with the Mi’kmaw Indigenous community in Nova Scotia and is committed to truth and reconciliation.

Tamsyn holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto, and an Executive Master of Business Administration
degree from Saint Mary’s University. She is currently completing her PhD at Dalhousie University, studying managerial models that encourage resiliency by reducing occupational
stress injuries for social workers. Tamsyn believes that healthy staff lead to healthier communities, and that when organizations invest in the health of their employees, they promote
quality assurance in their service delivery – especially in trauma-exposed environments. She is an energetic presenter who strives to create meaningful and effective learning environments.
