Lilian is a Registered Social Worker with a master’s degree in Narrative Therapy and over 20 years of experience serving communities. Her work focuses on healing strategies related to grief, depression, anxiety, fear, anger, and sadness for individuals, families, communities, and organizations. She specializes in areas of additions recovery, harm reduction, suicide intervention, and developing healthy relationships, grounded in strengths-based perspectives that acknowledge the impacts of trauma on well-being. Integrating both holistic and clinical approaches, Lilian honours the belief that individuals and communities are the experts of their own lives. She values the wisdom and experience that people carry and knows they have the capacity to re-author their stories to move toward healthier futures.

Lilian is a proud Indigenous woman from the Guarani Nation, located in Jaguaruna, Brazil. Outside her professional work, Lilian and her daughters actively participate in cultural ceremonies and land-based learning, including Sundance, sweat lodge, full moon, and pipe ceremonies, in addition to harvesting traditional medicinal plants, drumming, singing, learning, and volunteering. Lilian considers it an honour to be a helper and to offer what she calls “heart work” – supporting others on their paths toward healing and growth.
