Katie is a Provisionally Registered Psychologist in Alberta, holding a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. She has worked in the social service field for over 15 years and currently is a Family Counsellor at a community based agency, where she provides counselling services to children, youth, adults, and couples. Katie has extensive experience working with children and youth who have experienced sexual and/or physical abuse. Her work also includes supporting clients with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, historical trauma, relationship difficulties, and family violence. Katie believes in the power of human resiliency and innate capacity for personal growth. She believes that vulnerability, insight, and meaningful connections are all powerful ingredients for change. As a trainer Katie brings authenticity, humour, and a passion for sharing knowledge, drawing from her years of experience in order to make for an engaging and informative presentation.
