Elaine is a Registered Psychotherapist and Teacher who holds a Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology. In addition to training with CTRI, she maintains a clinical practice where she works with individuals and families who are coping with various mental health and relationship issues including anxiety and depression, trauma, addictions, and parenting/attachment concerns. Elaine believes that having unconditional positive regard and being non-judgemental are integral to creating great relationships. As a facilitator, Elaine brings a unique perspective to her workshops, drawing on her varied national and international work experiences. Her diverse education and work background not only includes teaching and counselling, but nursing, educational consulting, and extensive humanitarian work in sub-Saharan Africa as well. Elaine is also a contributing author of CTRI’s book, Counselling in Relationships. She utilizes her 25 years of experience in health care, counselling, education, and consulting to help make workshops engaging, interactive, and practical.
