Noela Crowe-Salazar Image

Noela Crowe-Salazar

MSW, RSW

Noela is Cree and is a member of Cowessess First Nation in Saskatchewan. She holds a Master of Social Work degree and is a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with children and families in child welfare and mental health settings. Her clinical background has a special focus on problematic substance use with special populations. Noela has worked extensively with First Nations in direct practice, policy, program design, and management roles. In addition to training and providing trauma-informed consulting with CTRI, she is a private practice counsellor, as well as a sessional lecturer at the University of Regina Faculty of Social Work.

The foundation of her work and practice are grounded in her culture and values as an Indigenous woman, and a belief that everyone has inherent strengths and wisdom. As a trainer, Noela is passionate about collaborative work and sharing information that is meaningful and practical. She is also a contributing author of CTRI’s book, Counselling in Relationships.
