Counselling in Relationships

Helping Families Develop Healthy Connections

Relationships are central to every person’s well-being, and family relationships are the foundation that influences how we all continue to grow and connect with others throughout life. Families are extremely diverse, and so our ways of supporting them need to be equally wide-ranging and unique to each relationship dynamic. This workshop is based on the variety of family structures and helping strategies described in CTRI’s book, Counselling in Relationships. Different family relationships will be explored, and common themes that can help counsellors feel more confident in supporting the diversity of families they serve will be identified. Participants will learn to apply principles and strategies that will guide them to be more effective and responsive in their work with families.
