For those who work with youth, managing challenging behaviours that interfere with development, learning, or success can be both frustrating and exhausting. This webinar reviews challenging behaviours related to aggression, non-compliance, and attention-seeking, and will provide a framework for intervening with these behaviours. Guidelines for structuring interactions for positive outcomes will be given, and a coaching model to bring out the best in youth who exhibit challenging behaviour is provided.

- Identify the negative outcomes of challenging behaviour
- Name the underlying needs of aggression, noncompliance, and attention-seeking behaviour
Target Audience
This is an introductory-intermediate level webinar intended for anyone interested in learning more about this topic.
Method of Delivery
Each webinar is 60 minutes in length. Live webinars will each contain 60 minutes of instruction from the facilitator using visual powerpoint slides and then there will be 5-10 minutes at the end of the webinar when participants can ask questions directly to the instructor and hear feedback from them in realtime. On-demand webinars include no interactivity with the instructor.

Upon viewing the entire webinar, you will be prompted to take a quiz over the content, and then you will receive a participation certificate.
Continuing Education
While associations and licensing bodies accept CTRI workshops for continuing education credits, questions about approval should be directed to the specific association or licensing body for which you are requesting the credits

Wendy is the Managing Director of CTRI’s partner division, ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership, and co-author of The Culture Question and Don't Blame the Lettuce. She is a thoughtful and empowering leader who believes in the importance of listening to the needs and aspirations of people, and then facilitating the next step in their development. Wendy is vice president of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Manitoba. She is a former teacher and director of a health and social services program. Wendy has a Master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Management, and Bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Education. She believes that learning is a dynamic and lifelong endeavor, and with commitment and guidance, the process should be enjoyable and motivating. Wendy is an engaging presenter who delivers material in a way that maximizes the learning potential for all participants.
