Paul Carrick

MSW, RSW

Paul has been a therapist and facilitator for close to 20 years, and has consulted in the area of crisis response planning throughout this time. He is a Registered Social Worker and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social work. Paul’s focus as a therapist has been on addressing violence against women, domestic abuse, addictions, childhood sexual abuse, crisis situations, and trauma. In addition to training and consulting with the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute, he is currently a therapist working with individuals navigating the justice system, and has a small private practice.

Paul believes in the importance of client-centred and holistic approaches for addressing and resolving challenges. He sees crises as unique opportunities for individuals and organizations, and is adept at navigating these opportunities with candor, humour, and sensitivity. Paul’s passion and compassion are evident as he supports people through their unique experiences and environments. He is gifted at facilitating critical conversations in a non-threatening manner where individuals and organizations feel heard and supported.
